Business Operations Intern
Business Operations Intern
Daedalus is a different kind of startup. We are a team of world-class engineers and manufacturing gurus on a mission to build the world's first autonomous factory that can build anything. With our world-leading experience from OpenAI, Google, SpaceX, Stripe, Blue Origin, Cruise and others, and venture backing from some of the biggest names in tech including Addition, Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator, we believe that revolutionary results can be built by a small group of creative minds working in concert. Join us on our journey to build the autonomous factory of the future to make precision components for spacecraft, medical devices, robotics, industrial machinery and many others. We are currently setting up our first large factory in Germany and need your help to bring it to full autonomy and duplicate it across the globe in our largest markets. In your capacity as a Business Operations Intern, you will support and improve our factory for precision parts by taking on hands-on roles and building tools and designing processes to make those roles more efficient or automating them altogether. As a Business Operations Intern, you will: - Own and optimize business processes in our production (e.g. pricing, raw material procurement, quality control, shipping). - Provide input to our product and engineering team, so they can build new features for our factory operating system to simplify, improve or automate the processes you are working on. - Identify non-software levers to make our production more reliable or efficient. - Own and improve production metrics. You'll fit in perfectly if: - You're currently pursuing a business or technical degree. - You are interested in the manufacturing industry and want to leverage technology to build more advanced factories. - You're pragmatic, solution-focused, enjoy short lead times and fast progress and don't mind taking on new, production-related roles. - You're fluent in German and English. You should become part of our team because: - You'll work with an international, world-class team with Silicon Valley roots. - You'll experience growth in a hardware business. - You will receive a lot of feedback from our Head of Manufacturing and will learn a lot about precision manufacturing and factories in general. - We provide free lunch, beverages and fruits every day.
