Founding Engineer für eine App, die Jugendliche schützt statt vermisst
Founder Engineer / future CTO?
Living Poets Society
Zürich
Co-Founder
21.07.2026

The Paradigm Shift
Big Tech wants enterprise intelligence in the cloud. Enterprises want absolute architectural control. Chordian.ai is a Swiss-born, zero-trust sovereign memory layer built entirely for the enterprise agentic age. We capture, govern, and make an organization's institutional knowledge instantly retrievable—without that data ever leaving the boundaries of their air-gapped infrastructure.
We provide a strict, verifiable full-offline guarantee for the entire data-refining pipeline. Backed by live production systems and an elite advisor network, we are looking for a technical force to step into a fully operational product, take radical ownership, and co-steer Chordian's roadmap.
Your Strategic & Technical Mission
Algorithmic Optimization: Advance our core indexing engine to process, query, and structure high-velocity enterprise data streams across massive, disparate datasets.
System Orchestration: Evolve our ontology engine to seamlessly unify multi-modal schemas and databases into a single, high-performance semantic retrieval layer (<400ms multi-hop graph queries).
Deterministic State Control: Refine write-time conflict resolution protocols to handle and resolve data contradictions locally, prior to any model inference.
Strategic Leadership: Co-author the technical roadmap, vigorously defend our security and architecture moats for tier-1 institutional clients, and scale a elite engineering culture.
What You Bring to the Seat
Academic Edge: Late-stage student (4th year BSc, MSc) or PhD candidate/graduate from ETH Zurich in Computer Science or a deeply quantitative field.
Systems Mindset: Deep command of isolated network infrastructure, air-gapped storage paradigms, and heavy hardware/VRAM resource optimization.
Data Structure Rigor: Practical or theoretical fluency in complex graph topologies, custom vector spaces, spatial indexing, and deterministic pipelines.
Execution Drive: The leadership maturity to guide technical execution and ship production-grade code into high-stakes environments.
What We Offer
Significant founder-level equity stake aligned with operational ownership.
The opportunity to build un-wrappable, foundational sovereign architecture—no shallow wrapper APIs.
Direct integration into the Swiss deep-tech ecosystem alongside top-tier advisors.

Firmware / IoT Engineer (Part-time ~20%) — Zürich
Firmware / IoT Engineer
E.Ride
Zürich
Part Time
17.07.2026
Company: E.Ride GmbH | Location: Zürich (office near Hardbrücke), on-site | Type: Part-time, 1 day per week (20%/8h) | Level: Junior to mid-level | Website: www.eride.africa | Compensation: CHF 700/month for 20%
About us
E.Ride is a young Zürich-based company building battery packs and electric motorcycles for emerging economies, with a focus on East Africa. We work at the intersection of renewable energy, e-mobility, and IoT, and our projects are built to have real-world impact in the markets we serve. We are a small, international team, and we run at startup pace: hands-on, fast-moving, and occasionally a little chaotic in the best way.
We are looking for a firmware and IoT engineer to take over and grow the embedded and connected-systems work on our vehicles and battery packs.
What you will do
• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for our battery packs, battery management, and vehicle electronics, primarily in C/C++ on microcontroller platforms such as ESP32 and Arduino.
• Improve and maintain our IoT telemetry pipeline: collecting data from vehicles and batteries in the field, transmitting it, storing it (InfluxDB), and visualising it in dashboards (Grafana).
• Prototype, test, and debug on real hardware, including ESP32 and Raspberry Pi setups.
• Get hands-on with the hardware itself: soldering, wiring, assembling and modifying prototype boards and test rigs, and bringing up new hardware alongside the firmware that runs on it.
• Work with the communication interfaces used across our systems (for example UART, and where relevant CAN, I2C, or SPI).
• Support the connection between our hardware and our backend and cloud systems.
• Help us understand how deployed units are performing in the field and contribute to remote diagnostics and improvements.
• Document your work and share knowledge within a small team.
• 3D printing of prototypes.
What you bring — Required
• Ongoing or completed studies in electrical or electronic engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as ESP32 or Arduino.
• Comfort working directly with hardware: basic soldering, wiring, and assembling or reworking prototype boards. If your soldering is rusty, that is something you can sharpen with us.
• Some programming experience, ideally in C or C++.
• A self-directed, curious mindset: the willingness to try, fail, and try again is more important to us than a long list of credentials.
• Independent! You need to set your own goals, get materials — you won’t be micromanaged.
• English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
Nice to have (you can also learn these with us)
• Familiarity with embedded development tools such as PlatformIO.
• Experience with time-series data tools like InfluxDB and Grafana.
• Exposure to communication protocols such as UART, CAN, I2C, or SPI.
• Version control with Git.
• Some understanding of battery systems or battery management.
• Basic backend or cloud concepts (for example MQTT or REST APIs).
• A genuine interest in e-mobility, renewable energy, and emerging markets.
Motivation and willingness to learn matter more to us than prior experience. If you have not touched some of the tools above but you are keen to pick them up, that is fine.
What we offer
• A part-time role of roughly one day per week (20%), with flexible working hours you largely arrange yourself.
• Compensation of CHF 700 per month for a 20% position.
• A young, international team and real experience in a startup environment.
• Purpose-driven projects and a central location in Zürich.
• The option, if you are interested, to travel and work from our office in Zambia during semester breaks or for a longer internship. We can arrange that.
How to apply
Send us a short CV and a few sentences about why this role interests you to [email protected]. We will get back to you. If you have any questions before applying, just reach out.

Product Development / Co-Founder
Drink Specialist / Product Development / Co-Founder
sawastea
Lucerne
Co-Founder
10.07.2026
sawastea, Lucerne, Switzerland · Co-Founder · Equity
We're two people testing out an idea: Sawastea, an authentic Thai Iced Tea (Cha Yen). We haven't founded a company yet — right now it's small home-batches and figuring out if there's a real market for it.
So far it's one person on marketing & sales, one on ICT & design. What we're missing is someone who genuinely knows food/beverage product development — that's you.
What we're looking for:
A co-founder to take ownership of product development: bringing real expertise to our recipe, formulation, and eventually the path toward an RTD product. You don't need to know Thai tea specifically — but you should genuinely come from this field, not be learning it alongside us.
What you'd work on:
- Recipe refinement and eventually scaling from home-batch toward a producible format with a suiting partner
- Reformulation questions: e.g. moving from synthetic colorants to natural alternatives without losing color/stability
- Shelf-life and food safety basics: pasteurization, preservation, working with a milk-infused tea
- Helping us think through what it takes to eventually work with a co-packer
- Keeping an eye on Swiss food law relevant to composition and labeling
You might be a fit if you have:
- A real background in food science, beverage technology, or F&B product development — studies or hands-on industry experience
- Genuine comfort with hands-on recipe work: tasting, iterating, adjusting — not just theory
- Interest in joining as an co-founder from an early, unproven stage — this is still a test, not a running business yet
What we offer:
- Co-founder equity and real influence on where this goes
- An honest, early-stage project: we've done some groundwork (food law basics, batch records, a first pass at financials) but there's no funding, no company, no guarantees yet
- Two people who take this seriously and want a third who can actually judge the product side, which we can't yet.
- Start Up experience and passion for entrepreneurship.
If this sounds interesting even without a perfect match on paper, reach out and let's talk.

Software CTO
Software CTO
Riverkin
Zürich
Full Time
07.07.2026
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced software engineer to own Riverkin’s technical roadmap end-to-end, including working hands-on on the software component. You will take responsibility for creating a reliable client-facing product, which will be mainly an enterprise software that is fed with data (from hardware we build ourselves) and models (which we also build ourselves).
We already have several manufactured sensor prototypes and a software MVP deployed in the field with clients. Now we need someone who can take what exists, challenge it where needed, and define a coherent, scalable path forward with a customer facing approach and without overengineering or starting from scratch unnecessarily.
You should think like a builder, not an optimizer. We need someone who has taken products from 0 to 1 and knows how to move fast without losing track of the overall structure.
What You'll Do
Create Clarity and Momentum
Bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive them to execution
Make decisions and move forward without waiting for perfect information
Lead, shape and manage the technical team
You will be a leader and guide the technical team so that everyone has enough context for their work, ownership of their work, and a growth path
You will decide what to build in-house, where to use external support, and how to keep engineering quality high as the software and sensor deployments scale.
Own the technical roadmap
Work with the product team to obtain product requirements and translate them into a technical roadmap
You will align the roadmap with our current stage
Decide when to iterate, fix or rebuild and explain why
Create a path to scale and industrialization
Own, Build, and Industrialize the Software Architecture
Define and build the first customer-facing platform where customers can access, understand and act on our data.
Evaluate the current backend and decide what to keep, fix, or redesign (today: a Python backend, AWS provisioned with Terraform, SQLite, and a JavaScript frontend)
Make practical decisions on UX, APIs, and structure to get to a usable MVP quickly
Lead development of our cloud backend (primarily AWS and GCP based)
Build and refine data pipelines from sensor ingestion to usable outputs
Not only design, but remain deeply involved in implementation
Lead debugging and debug yourself
Find the balance between scalable architecture and pragmatic solutions, aligned with our stage (product and company)
Bring the final product to commercialization/industrialization
Work with the hydrology and hardware teams
Translate customer needs in product development direction, both hardware and data side
You will support the hardware team to bring their hardware to industrialization
You will lead and define the IP roadmap together with the hardware team
You will work with the hydrology team to define the model outputs and how to represent the outputs in the software
Who You Are
You have built and shipped enterprise products from the ground up in a startup or similar environment.
You are customer facing, translate customer needs into product and architecture decisions.
You are both a hands-on developer and an architect.
You have worked closely with hardware-software systems.
You have strong intuition for pragmatic software architecture at an early stage.
You can turn messy inputs into clear technical directions.
You care about building systems that actually work in the real world.
You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates.
Technical Requirements
Strong experience building cloud-based systems (AWS required)
Proficient in modern backend development (e.g. Python or Node.js)
Experience designing and building data pipelines and APIs
Comfortable building simple frontends for MVPs
Experience working with real-world data systems (IoT, data platforms, or similar is a strong plus)
7 years of experience building and shipping software products
3 years of experience managing and leading a team
Comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (we use Terraform) and SQL
Nice to Have
Experience building data-as-a-service or analytics platforms
Previous founder experience
Role Details
Commitment: 100% FTE
Compensation: competitive base salary plus meaningful equity, depending on experience
Location: 4 days per week in Zurich office (with one day flexible/remote)
Starting date: by November 1st 2026 at the latest
Work-permit: Swiss/EU nationals with a work permit are prioritized since we do not have the capability to sponsor a work permit for third-country candidates
Relocation: We do not sponsor relocation
Benefits: 25 days of vacation
About Riverkin
We are a well-capitalized startup building real-time sensing and data infrastructure for rivers. Our own field-deployed sensors collect live water-level and sediment data, while our platform turns that data into decision-ready insights for customers. We work across two core use cases: hydropower, where better sediment data can support flushing, asset protection and compliance; and flash-flood risk, where local river data can help hydropower, first responders and municipalities understand what is happening before conditions become critical. We are a small, hands-on Swiss startup working across hydrology models, sensing products, software and market development with real customer deployments.
To apply: Email a short motivation and your CV to [email protected]. If you have them, add links to things you’ve shipped: your Github profile, a portfolio, or a couple of lines on a 0-to-1 product you owned (optional, not required).
Our process has three stages: 1) a screening call, 2) an online 45min interview, and 3) a 2h workshop with the founders on-site in Zurich.
