Founder's Internship
🥜 IN A NUTSHELL Are you an entrepreneurial-minded person with the ambition to gain hands-on experience within a motivated and dynamic team for 6 months? Then grape's internship programme is exactly what you are looking for. Being an entrepreneur can be one of the most fulfilling tasks in life and for sure one with the highest learning curve. You love autonomy, setting your own goals and are curious to learn how to build and grow an early-stage tech startup? Join us in building a leading insurance company of the 21st century. 🔍 What we are looking for Join our team as an Intern and take an active role in shaping our product and team culture alongside the team and the co-founders. 👇 If you aren't completely confident that you fit our exact criteria, please reach out anyway. Humility is a wonderful thing - we're at least as interested in your character as in your talent. 👁️ About you - Close to Bachelor or Master graduation or recently graduated. - Fluent communication (C1-C2) in German and English. - Having practical experience from internships in consulting, startups, scale-ups, tech companies, or from entrepreneur/startup associations is favourable. - Ambitious and equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset to make things happen: given the scope, volume, and timeline of work, the ability to direct people - including oneself - towards a particular objective that may require active orchestration is key. - Ability to work with limited guidance and proactively collaborate with multiple stakeholders across and outside of the organisation: given the scope of work, you should be able to jump from one topic to another with a similar impact. - ‘Business’ sense and analytical skills: often you will have to think at the company level, assessing what would be best for the business, and working on topics that have cross-cutting impacts. The ability to understand what can make a business great (product-wise, commercially, in terms of image, etc.), and usually making correct decisions, even in the presence of ambiguity, is paramount. ➕ Big plus: - You speak French and/or Italian. - Insurance knowledge/interest. 💡 What you will be working on - Working alongside the team and the founders on business priorities, such as unlocking new growth, product decisions, and onboarding partners. - You will mainly work in the “People” and “Health” departments, which comprehend tasks like organising team events and trips, prepare content for our social media channels, prepare various applications for events and awards, prospecting and outreaching to health partners and support the promotion of the health platform. 🍇 Our Offer - Great career trajectory. - 12 paid mental health sessions per year. - 25 days of paid vacation per year. - Regular team events and retreats. - Hybrid setup: we’re all setup remotely, however, we love spending time together in our beautiful office in Hardbrücke, Zürich. - We believe in ownership from day one and empower each and everyone in our team to take on responsibility. - You are joining a company that wants to change the way health (both physical and mental) is perceived and promoted within the workplace. Employees at grape can profit from various benefits that enhance your wellbeing. - You have the chance to play a decisive role in shaping our company in its rapid growth. - You will be part of a group of highly ambitious people. You may have heard the saying "you become the average of the five people you spend the most time around". Expect that average to be very high when it comes to ambition at grape. - We are an inclusive team and value everyone's unique background. - We expect different opinions and appreciate honest and frequent feedback. We thrive to create a safe work environment where nobody has to hide their real self. - Easter egg: to gain brownie points and show us that you read the entire job description include the phrase "Holy grape, I'd love to join the team!" as a headline in your application. - For this position we can only admit Swiss or EU/EFTA applicants. 🚀 Next steps 1. Apply to this job and add a few words of why you want to join us! Extra points are awarded for video messages (e.g. via Loom). 2. Let’s meet for a virtual coffee to align our expectations ☕ 3. In the final feedback meeting we review your work from the assessment and the challenges you have solved during this process 🤝 5. Finally, be part of our success story 🚀
