Businessresponsibility.ch is looking for a talented and ambitious Full Stack Developer with interests in digitalization and democracy in Switzerland! businessresponsibility.ch is a non-profit startup that aims to strengthen transparency and democratic oversight of the human rights performance of Swiss companies. We are building a digital platform to monitor company performance vis a vis non-financial reporting obligations. We are currently funded as a startup project by the Prototype Fund, which supports innovative open source projects that strengthen democratic participation in Switzerland through digital solutions. For the development of our digital platform, we are looking for a highly-skilled, communicative and solution-oriented Full Stack Developer, who is interested in working within an interdisciplinary team of political scientists, economists, environmental activists and other software developers. **Your mission** - You will work with a interdisciplinary team and perform requirement analysis, design and implement software solutions to meet their needs - You will communicate with different stakeholders and have a deeper understanding of their expectations - You will collaborate with other developers to implement, deploy and support the software implementation - You will build prototypes and demonstrate the results to the technical team - You will write documentations and improve the software development processes **Your background and skill set** - At least a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a similar fields of study, or equivalent experience - Solid background and experience in software development methodologies and principles - Be available for a 30-40% position - Experience in Node.js, Python and MySQL for backend development - Experience in Javascript or Typescript, CSS and React for frontend development - Experience in DevOps, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Continuous - Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) and server maintenance - Fluent in English and German - You should be highly motivated working in a flexible startup environment and show eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies - You should be able to take responsibility for your solutions and directly communicate with your team members **Our offer* - Opportunity to be part of a motivated and interdisciplinary team on a mission to create cutting-edge solutions with a high social impact - Opportunity to make a significant contribution towards the improvement of corporate human rights performance and sustainability in Switzerland - We offer you a unique opportunity to grow, learn, participate and connect with highly qualified, open-minded and politically interested people - Flexible working hours and remote work options, we estimate workload to be roughly 30%-40% on a monthly average - Fair compensation based on contract or hourly based salary.
