Who are we? Oxygen at Work is a fast growing PropTech startup based in Zurich. We combine smart greenery with IoT sensors and big data analytics to improve indoor air quality of thousands of workplaces in Europe, making them healthier, more sustainable and more attractive. Who are we looking for? Oxygen at Work seeks a self-directed intern with a passion for plants, technology, collaboration and creative problem solving. We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative. The intern will actively contribute to exciting real-world projects at a thriving startup, and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership in the R&D department. Intern responsibilities Collect data from various sources (IoT sensors, literature, etc.) and report findings Involved in designing and the development process of IoT-based building health monitoring solutions Support the R&D team in operating and maintaining the in-house software Regularly write and submit reports of software/hardware production status Review and do test simulations for the software/hardware products Collaborate with scientists and other professionals in doing research on energy and health in the building sector Intern requirements Computer, Engineering, Physics, or another relevant major Good analytical and mathematics skills Familiar with big data analytics Ability to work in teams Strong verbal and written communication in English Experience programming in Python or MATLAB Your benefits​ Gain hands-on experience in an R&D position Shadowing and training opportunities with knowledgeable professionals Flexible schedule for students Compensation available
