At Appeal, we are building machine learning algorithms that help YouTubers find the right titles and thumbnails for their new videos, which results in more viewership, more revenue and faster channel growth. We are a young team of master's students with data science/machine learning expertise, and we are looking for an excellent web developer to join our team. We work flexible hours and remotely. We don't have a revenue at the moment, so we are offering equity. As we did not found yet, you would become a Co-Founder with all the tax benefits. Specifically, we are looking for a person with great web development skills to take over the website (appeal-ai.com) and extend it with a web app (we created a demo using React, but it needs significant improvement/potential redesign). Responsibilities include redesigning the frontend, deploying the ML algorithm as a web app, SEO optimization for the website and more. The expected time commitment is minimum 15h/week, but we will prioritize candidates that can commit more. Since we are a startup, it is difficult to create a role with well-defined boundaries. Therefore, we are ideally looking for a person with a well-rounded skillset which complements their web development expertise. Skills in data management, data crawling or data science are thus pluses. Once the website is in a stable state, your workload would start including more tasks from other parts of our tech stack.
