Racing esports data platform

Fidgrove is a startup aiming to leverage on big data to improve racing performance on cars simulation software. Our clients are racing esports teams and casual sim racers alike. We have a working platform, handling and processing incoming data streams up to 1 Mbps per user. We provide a front-end solution for our users, accessible through a browser, to show statistics, chart analyses and other relevant features. We've opened access to our platform in 2022, initially supporting rFactor 2 esports racing platform, which is used for world esports events such as the Virtual 24h of Le Mans. We have partnered with pro esports teams to have a good development feedback loop. As a company, we are keen on applied research as a source of sustained competitive advantage in the industry. We value user-friendly and clean solutions to present to our users.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to help us continue our innovative preliminary research on automated data analysis applied to telemetry and Big Data, as well as to develop relevant features to integrate in our platform. What profile we’re looking for: * Fluent in Python and common tools for Data Mining, Machine Learning (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch) * Experienced in Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Flink, Azure) and time-series data is a plus What we expect from candidates: * Motivated to solve complex challenges * Focused on quality and usability What the candidates can expect from the role: * Applied research work to gather data insights from driving telemetry (e.g., exploratory data analysis, pattern recognition, data clustering, etc) What the candidates can expect from Fidgrove: * A core team enthusiastic about bringing an innovative data-led solution to improve driving performances * A high-paced remote work environment coding on European timezone * A nothing is impossible mindset on challenges, brainstorming quality solutions from first principles
