Soma Rem implements a novel method to translate the veracity of empirical results, demonstrating that body illusions can effectively reduce pain, into real-world practical applications. Our innovative modality is aimed at renormalizing aberrant body perceptions and thereby altering the perceived properties of pain through repeated exposure to virtual body alterations that would not be possible with the physical body. This approach is expected to boost therapeutic effects and produce long-term analgesia.
