Development of first-in-class disease-modifying therapy against age-related neuropathology disorders (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's)

VENTURE KICK STAGE 1 WINNER! First-in-class disease-modifying therapy targeting age-related error-prone translation resulted in pathogenic protein misfolding and loss of proteostasis leading to neurotoxicity and age-related neurodegenerative disorders. Focus on Parkinson’s disease with expansion potential to other proteinopathies such as Alzheimer’s disease. Targets validation in human-relevant models and compound optimization ongoing.

About Transfidelity. Transfidelity is an emerging Swiss biotech startup translating cutting-edge academic research into screening platform and therapeutics targeting the root causes of age-related neurodegenerative diseases. Our proprietary drug candidates focus on restoring protein homeostasis (proteostasis) and preventing toxic protein aggregates in Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. We have recently won the prestigious Venture Kick Stage 1 grant, validating our scientific approach. The overall project is led by Dr. Dimitri Scherbakov, a strategic R&D leader with over 25 years of expertise in ribosomal biology and rational drug design (50+ publications, H-index 22). The technical engine is led by Dr. Rashid Akbergenov (25+ years of expertise in ribosomal biology and proteostasis (35+ publications, H-index 22). We have world-class science; now, we need an execution-driven business partner to help us build a venture-scale company. Your mission. As our Business Co-Founder & CEO candidate, you will bridge our technical strengths with Swiss innovation network and, potentially, with global market realities. You won't just be handed tasks, you will take full ownership of our commercial trajectory, working closely with the scientific founders. Your immediate milestones over the next 3 to 6 months include: • Fundraising & Strategy: prepare the upcoming pitch for Venture Kick Stage 2 (CHF 40,000) and subsequent convertible loan tranches. • Salary Runway: work to secure the Gebert Rüf Stiftung InnoBooster grant (CHF 150,000) to transition the team to paid, university-anchored salaries. • Commercial De-risking: Partner with our consulting network to establish our target indication roadmap, draft our Target Product Profile (TPP), and develop a Tier 1 Freedom to Operate (FTO) patent strategy. • Partnering: Build early relationships with innovation network, pharmaceutical companies, clinical Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and Swiss neurological clinics to establish strategic licensing/co-development roadmaps. What we look for • The mindset: You think like a founder, not an employee. You are a natural storyteller who can translate complex biological data into high-conviction investment cases. • Background: An MBA, Master’s in Management/Technology (MTEC), or equivalent experience in life sciences-related business development. • Passion: A deep interest in healthy longevity, neurobiology, age-related neurological disorders (Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s…). • Status: Domiciled in Switzerland with immediate availability to commit to this joint journey. What we offer • Significant equity stake: A generous co-founder equity package aligned with your commitment and experience, subject to standard Swiss reverse vesting safeguards to protect our cap table. • Innovation network: Direct access to Venture Kick Briefings, Kickers Camps, and leading Swiss translational networks. • High-Impact Science: The opportunity to build a globally scalable startup targeting some of the most critical unmet clinical needs of our generation. If you are ready to stop predicting the future of healthcare and start building it, get in touch with us!
