As a Founder & CTO of SST Ltd, I have created the strategy and am responsible for making a fully open-source, sustainable, globally approved and adapted and open standards-based strategy for cities, towns and private townships in Switzerland and Lichtenstein. Profirator Oy is also an investor in SST Ltd.

As a part time senior architect in FIWARE Foundation my role was to 1. Creating an architecture, implementing and deploying for SmartMaaS project, funded by German Federal Government software stack based on FIWARE components with NGSI-LD standard. This is using Docker Swarm and Kubernetes container management. 2. Updating and contributing NGSI-LD standards to the ETSI working group, aligning them with IUDX standards in India, and contributing updates to standards. 3. Creating an architecture implementation and deploying of IMPRESS project, funded by German Federal Government software stack based on FIWARE components with NGSI-LD standard. This is using Docker Swarm and Kubernetes container management. 4. Designing and implementing NGSI-LD temporal functionality in C/C++ for Orion-LD Context Broker. 5. Updating features and maintaining API-Umbrella, an open-source API Management software used as Data Access Policy Enforcement Point.

As CTO of Profirator Oy, I am responsible for deploying FIWARE based fully open source software stack for cities in Finland, Germany and Austria. The stack was also integrated using Kubernetes. Apart from the role of CTO, I have been responsible for sales and customer relations for non-Finnish businesses.

As an elected Board Member of the FIWARE Foundation, I have taken part in Board activities of the non-profit organisation. I have also been part of the Technical Steering Committee and has architected the Data Management and Data Access module in FIWARE Stack, where API Management and API Proxy are core parts.

We saw a window of opportunity for open source API Management based on Open standards and open source in Finland, EU and Smart City projects. We created an APInf product with a team of two inside Sampo Software. APInf product was launched in 2016 under Sampo Software Oy company and generated 150K€ revenues during the same year. APInf Oy has been spun off and incorporated as a separate company in February 2017. We decided to contribute APInf to the FIWARE software stack on the technical front, and I have been the lead architect for this work from the APInf side. On the business development front, APInf acquired customers like Helsinki Transport and two cities in Finland. APInf achieved breakeven financially during 2018. APInf’s development team is spread across 3 continents and is one of the most diverse companies in Finland. APInf also has a fully functional subsidiary in India. APInf also secured EU & Finnish state funding during 2017 and 2018. APInf has been growing by 50% year on year regarding revenues. My role has been the architect and DevOps fellow apart from being CEO of APInf. Profirator Oy buys out APInf’s Product and business during September 2019, where I continued to support as CTO and Specialist.

Founded Sampo Software Oy and has been the only active Founder; with a team of two, we created 3D Visioner, APInf and SignSense products and achieved sales globally. Sampo Software raised total investments of 700K€ and secured funding from EU and Finnish state funding agencies. Sampo Software has been a net profitable company since 2016, with customers and resellers worldwide and growing at 50% year on year. 90% of the customers of Sampo Software have been non-Finnish. The company and its products have been acquired by one of the five top international software giants. I have initiated, overlooked and closed the acquisition process from 2017 till February 2021.

Joined as an Engineer in Nokia in 1998 and was raised to Vice President in 2011. Ramped up and lead a team of four brilliant technology marketers. We conceived and launched brands like “PureView”, “PureMotion”, & “Nokia Rich Recording”. We planned and launched the marketing campaign for the brands towards telecom operators and consumers. We also worked together with the procurement team and negotiated a discount of €75m co-marketing under MDF with partners and chipset vendors.
