I advised clients on various intellectual property (trademark filings, copyright, and trademark infringement complaints, disputes on domain names, etc.) and data protection matters (employees’ personal data protection, personal data transfer, data security, etc.), drafted, negotiated, and interpreted IP-related and other commercial agreements.

I advised Ignitis Group companies on privacy and personal data protection matters and in solving regulatory challenges, i.e. implementing GDPR; drafted, reviewed, and negotiated various commercial contracts.

I was appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO) and a leader of the Personal Data Protection functional area in Ignitis Group. My responsibilities included enabling compliance with GDPR, driving the implementation of essential elements of the GDPR, maintaining data protection policies and procedures, monitoring compliance with data protection laws and group policies, fostering data protection culture within the group, etc.

I advised clients on the protection and defense of intellectual property objects, also on issues related to various commercial and civil contracts (on transfer, pledge of intellectual property objects, licensing, etc.), and on data protection issues.

My main responsibilities as an Intellectual Property Expert included: - collecting, documenting, and evaluating internal patent ideas - making first patent searches - communicating with external patent lawyers and supporting them in the patent filing process - structuring and maintaining the company's IP portfolio - filing trademarks I also advised the company on data protection, and commercial contract matters.
