Emmanuel Ilaboya is a leader in sustainable innovation within the global construction sector, renowned for spearheading the development of premium sustainable brands at Holcim, the world's number one cement and concrete manufacturer. His journey has spanned continents—from Europe to Latin America—contributing to Holcim's green initiatives within a company boasting a $30 billion revenue footprint. One of his notable achievements includes the launch of ECOPlanet, the first green cement brand in the world to decarbonise the construction industry at scale and address climate change.

His global perspective is enriched by professional and academic experiences from living, working, and studying in five continents. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, sales, new business development, decarbonization and strategic product management in large-scale enterprises, he has honed his skills in leading global teams towards commercial success by
innovating and capturing value.

Emmanuel is a proud alumnus of the prestigious Saïd Business School at Oxford University, where he was honoured with the Executive MBA Director's Scholarship in recognition of his academic and professional achievements. Beyond the corporate world, his commitment to making a social impact is evident. From launching 1,000 affordable housing units in Africa to mentoring product managers in emerging markets and generating significant EBITDA growth through innovative solutions, he has always aimed to leave a positive imprint on society.

● Launch ECOPlanet, the world’s first green cement brand aimed at decarbonising the construction industry on a large scale and addressing climate change, marking a significant achievement in sustainable innovation ● Contribute to achieving $2.5 billion in net sales and sustainable business growth across 30 countries by developing the product and branding strategies while overseeing marketing initiatives and commercial roll-out of “ECOPlanet” ● Collaborate actively with the corporate finance team on sustainability reporting and climate disclosures to maintain strict compliance with IFRS and mitigate potential risks ● Utilise up to 20% recycled materials in devising new products and solutions to reduce environmental impact ● Analyse and categorise Holcim’s business activities according to EU Taxonomy definitions for sustainable activities by establishing effective coordination with internal/external stakeholders as a project member of EU Taxonomy Project ● Manage P&L for a new sustainable business unit through strategic planning with a keen focus on driving financial performance and targeting $4 billion in group net sales by 2025 ● Lead a team of 5 regional “Sustainability Champions” focused on managing the commercial development and successful roll-out of global sustainable brands across multiple countries to assure strategic implementation ● Hold a $500M marketing budget and monitor brand performance to devise effective plans, optimise resource allocation, and enable informed decision-making ● Increase market penetration and customer engagement by handling various tasks, such as Go-to-Market programs, product localisation, marketing activation, and agency management
