As a recovery team leader at ARIS the main task was together with the team to develop, test and integrate a fully functioning recovery system for a hybrid-propellant sounding rocket starting with a pen and paper. TASKS: • Responsible for a safe and reliable separation and recovery of ARIS’s sounding rocket PICCARD • Planning, designing, dimensioning, manufacturing, assembling and testing (small- and large-scale tests) of the system components • Maintaining overview of the mechanical and electrical system units and their subsystems • Maintaining project structure by developing and implementing achievable targets and delegating tasks • Guiding, motivating and advising a team of 7 members through the project • Ensuring proper communication with the project manager, system engineer and other subsystems • Establishing sponsor and support based relations between ARIS and industrial partners
