At MaxWell Biosystems, I gained experience in microphysiology product development as part of the Hardware R&D team. There, I characterized the lifetime and material properties of new products and optimized manufacturing techniques. I also produced 3D CAD models, 3D printed prototypes, performed functionality tests, and wrote Python scripts for data extraction and processing.

I worked on foundational research at Diluviam, Optotune's new start-up, on the design and simulation of an implantable valve to control the flow of blood through an arteriovenous fistula for haemodialysis patients. I then joined Optotune's liquid products R&D team, where I currently work on rapid prototyping projects involving the actuation of large liquid lenses for presbyopia and AR/VR applications.
