My background benefits from 20+ years of experience in drug discovery and early development in the pharma industry. It all started with studies in Biology and Biochemistry in Switzerland, followed by several years in San Francisco (USA) in molecular parasitology. I joined Novartis as a group leader in Discovery and was responsible for the compound screening. I contributed to change the parasiticide drug discovery paradigm by developing microscreens, automation and data analysis which allowed high-throughput screening campaigns to be performed with organism-based in-vitro tests. I was awarded the Novartis leading scientist for this.
Currently, I am supporting our new startup company, INVENesis, with a board of experts. Our main objective is to perform research and evaluation of projects for companies around the world.
