Client - RBS (The Royal Bank of Scotland) | Java 1.6, Spark, Coherence • Successfully was part of a team that aimed to improve the bank’s grid-based risk ingestion system, dealing with tens of TB data records. • Actively participated in the research of an alternative solution, based on Spark, to the above system. Client - Euler Hermes | Java 1.6, JSF, WebSphere, DB2 • Extended and strengthened a web-based application for indemnification scenarios, which was heavily communicating with a lot of other systems via different protocols (SOAP, Message queuing). Client - Exceed J | Java 1.6, Apache Camel • Completed from scratch a file transformation module, whose function was to ease payroll deductions - receiving inputs (mainly files in flat-file format), performing actions on them, and then sending the result outputs to different endpoints.

Client - Shutterfly | Java 11, Amazon Web Services, Spring 2 • Enabling new integration with a 3rd party search and merchandising vendor, aiming to achieve near-real-time (a couple of seconds) semi-automatic catalog updates. • Increased the number of product variants by more than 50K items and enriched Shutterfly’s presence in the Google shopping experience. • Stabilized and functionally upgraded different internal software applications in order to handle peak loads (more than 7K requests/min) - catalog update systems, monitoring tools, legacy architectures. • Started the integration with a 3rd party package delivery vendor, resulting in higher revenue for a subsidiary photo gear rental company. • Mentored and guided two interns who built strong skills, were beneficial to the company and successfully advanced their careers.
