Five months as the first employee in an alternative investment startup. Main responsibilities: ‣ Co-built pitch deck, processes and business plan from scratch; presented to investors and possible partners. Co-developed investment process and sourced deal pipeline. ‣ Conducted due diligence on target companies, marketed and co-organized first transaction.

Quantitative research and analysis for portfolio management. Selected projects: ‣ Developed python analysis toolkit which was used for ‘Value Insights’ research paper coauthored with CIO. Analysis focused on growth patterns, mean reversion and resulting valuation implications. ‣ Screened and reviewed single stocks and market developments and formulated key messages to portfolio managers and CIO.

Financial modeling and investor communication. Selected projects: ‣ Set up company’s first long-term financial model based on five-year-strategy; iterated with controlling and management to align internal and external targets. ‣ Developed and maintained respective deliverables for investor communication and controlling, including presentations and write-ups. ‣ Conducted investor outreach and presented to new investor targets.

Applied AI development, including production work for external clients. Selected projects: ‣ End-to-end computer vision pipeline for film artifact removal, including data augmentation, image segmentation, restoration, UX and API in Rust, and ONNX / CoreML optimisation. ‣ Time-series forecasting pipeline for systematic trading, including a backtesting framework for trading strategy evaluation and RL agent training.

Delivering data analytics and ML solutions for industry partners in the AI for Batteries group. Selected projects: ‣ Time-series analysis framework for customer segmentation based on battery field data, including utilization and return modeling based on realized and simulated load profiles. ‣ State estimation and fault detection methods for batteries based on field data. Include simulation and optimisation algorithms, equivalent circuit and electrochemical models.
