I worked at Arup as a Project Manager supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure and construction projects across sectors including data centres, healthcare, energy and rail. My role involved coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project schedules and budgets, and supporting procurement and contract administration under frameworks such as FIDIC. I worked closely with clients, contractors and technical specialists to ensure projects progressed smoothly from planning through to delivery. The work required balancing technical, operational and stakeholder considerations, often in large programmes such as hospital redevelopment and mission-critical facilities. Through this experience I developed strong project coordination, risk management and stakeholder communication skills while gaining insight into how large engineering and infrastructure projects are delivered in practice.
