• My research projects focused on innovative in vitro – in vivo approaches aimed to the discovery of novel biomarkers for asthma and to the development of rheologybased drug screening tools for cystic fibrosis (published one peer-reviewed paper). • Biopolymer engineering - Developed and characterized novel thiol-modified hydrogels as screening tool for novel drug entities. • Rheology methods development for human specimen and hydrogels characterization. • Advanced cellular biology assays development with primary human cells for use in drug cytotoxicity testing, immunology assays, and gene expression analysis.
