Location: Stuttgart, with assignments in Berlin, Atlanta and Beijing. Co-built Lab1886 from day 1. Our goal was to develop within 3 to 6 months a simple idea in an iterative process into an MVP. Key is to include our potential customers from day one onwards in the process. Our four main KPIs are “Desirability”, “Valuability”, “Technical Feasibility” and “Strategic Fit”. Within the given time frame, we conduct the relevant market studies, develop customer journeys, conduct problem discovery and problem solution interviews. Based on those insights, we create and test a functional prototype to gather valuable customer and market feedback. Further, we create the underlying business model and work out a business case. At every stage along the process, we include all relevant stakeholders. Based on those outcomes, we source the internal and external networks for sponsorship and mentorship as well as strategic alliances, to move into the next phase, INCUBATION. Further qualifications: • Built and currently further developing a team of 12 direct reports • Designed and implemented new Lab1886 innovation process (focus on validation and incubation phase) • Project lead for the validation of new business ideas (according to lean startup and lean stack methods) • Developed new approach and method to track and steer global Lab1886 project portfolio (Atlanta, Beijing, Berlin and Stuttgart) according to clear KPIs, deliverables and stage gates • Managing & controlling of global Lab1886 budget • Implemented new project staffing tool to increase efficiency and transparency • Developing Lab1886 commercialization and acceleration strategy (including external venture funding) Expertise in the area of Drones (VTOL) through projects and cooperation with “Volocopter”
