We are looking for a top-tier Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Founding Team and help lead us through the early stages of growth. You will be leading the development of the two core products for consumers (discoverability, storytelling, modularity, and site performance of our customer experience and storefront) and manufacturing partners (proprietary merchant software for our partners and team to use to develop and launch new products). You'll have autonomy to make your own decisions, guided by the necessary mindfulness of how those decisions impact the business, your team, and customers. Responsibilities: Engineering: - Build the platform: Your most important responsibility is to get our platform to market and maximize the number of product experiments we can run - Be the head architect: You will make key architectural decisions that will be the pillars of our engineering organizations but don’t worry, you’ll have access to our tech advisory board filled with top-notch engineers and operators - Strategize and execute: Define the technical roadmap and translate the engineering strategy to shape our platform - Creation of processes: You will be instrumental in setting up initial processes for your team Product: - Own the product: You will have significant ownership over the product direction and will prioritize our short- and long-term roadmap together with the Founders - Collaborate with the team: You will be working with our Founders and the team on product development - Connect with stakeholders: You will be expected to include our manufacturers and customers in the development of the platform People: - Foundation of the team: You will spend some time on sourcing, interviewing, and closing early members for your team Requirements: - You crave ownership: You will be fully responsible for the development of our platform, being an entrepreneurial self-starter is a must - You’re okay with ambiguity: You will need to be comfortable operating with a lot of ambiguity, if you tend towards more loosely scoped projects you will be a good fit - You’re multidisciplinary: You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats. A typical day might include anything from several hours of coding, to a few conversations with our manufacturers to scope out the product roadmap, to an architecture discussion, to a product brainstorming session.
