Join Sitem Startup Club (SSC) as our Hub Lead and become the heart of the Sitem MedTech Hub (SMH). This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone with experience in operations, hospitality, coworking, events, or community management; and who enjoys being part of a dynamic startup and innovation environment. The role As Hub Lead, you are the person who makes the hub feel welcoming, inspiring, professional, and alive. You lead the daily operations of the space while acting as the main host and community connector for founders, researchers, startups, partners, and guests. You are just as comfortable managing logistics as you are welcoming a new startup team on their first day. What you’ll do Host the hub • Be the first friendly face members and guests see when they arrive. • Create a calm, professional, and warm atmosphere in a fast-moving innovation environment. • Build trusted relationships with members and understand what they’re working on. • Make thoughtful introductions that spark collaboration across startups, partners, and teams. Own the member journey • Lead new member onboarding, including tours, orientations, access setup, and follow-ups. • Make sure founders and teams feel confident, supported, and at home from day one. • Be the go-to person on-site for questions, requests, and problem-solving. • Gather member feedback and continuously improve the experience. Run the hub like a pro • Own the day-to-day operations of the coworking and accelerator space. • Ensure meeting rooms, common areas, and offices are always ready to host. • Manage schedules, vendors, supplies, access, and operational workflows. • Spot issues early and resolve them smoothly and efficiently. Support community and programming • Support HUB activities, events, workshops, and partner visits. • Help create moments of connection before and after programming. • Ensure events run smoothly from a hosting and operational perspective. Lead with presence • Set the standard for hospitality, professionalism, and care. • Coordinate on-site staff, partners, or service providers. • Balance structure and flexibility in a dynamic startup environment. A day in the life You open the hub, do a quick walk-through, and make sure everything is set: coffee on, rooms ready, and the space calm and welcoming. You greet founders as they arrive, check in with a new startup moving into the space, and answer questions about access, meeting rooms, or daily hub life. Between meetings, you handle operations: vendor coordination, supply checks, scheduling, and solving small issues before they become big ones. Over lunch, you connect members who should know each other and gather informal feedback. In the afternoon, you onboard a new team, give them a tour, and make sure they’re fully set up. You wrap the day by resetting the space, checking tomorrow’s schedule, and leaving the hub ready for another great day.
