About you You’d be excited to work in a dynamic, friendly, fast-growing startup of climate optimists. You’ve already built a successful SaaS product organization in your previous startup /scale-up experiences and have a proven playbook of what it would take to transform our successful software product built in the first ~2 years of our startup to a production-ready Enterprise-grade software, ready to scale across the world. You can’t wait for your next challenge and apply your skills to the most promising innovative software startup decarbonizing Real Estate. Sounds like you? Read on… About us Optiml is fast-growing startup with a mission to decarbonize real estate as “the trusted software provider for sustainable and profitable real estate portfolios”. We spun out of ETH Zurich in fall 2022 and raised our $1.6m pre-seed from top-notch US & EU funds: Innovation Endeavors (San Francisco – fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt) and Planet A (Berlin). In short: although we’re only 2 years old and about 15 people, we’re getting a lot of interest, and are at the stage where we need more entrepreneurial and talented colleagues to join our team in our Zürich HQ . Our innovative solution and its potential to revolutionize the industry has seen prestigious recognition over the years: we’ve had great traction since our product launch in April ‘24 (DACH & UK), endorsement by the industry and investor landscape, and in the last 3 months we’ve won three of the top awards in our region (ZIA PropTech of the Year, W.A. De Vigier, << venture <<). We’re just getting started and have some big plans over the coming years… Tasks 1) Develop our B2B SaaS product towards production-ready, Enterprise-grade level software in a regulated environment (Real estate asset managers & Financial institutions), satisfying the high trust requirements of our clients in DACH, UK and beyond Identify functional & non-functional requirements of “Enterprise-grade software” in our industry (anything from multi-role service offerings & journeys, single sign-on, increased customization, exporting reports & data via APIs) with the CEO and existing Product-team (focused on building engineering) Support scalable technical architecture design and performance requirements (e.g. infrastructure platform & reliability engineering, regulatory compliance, security certifications, IAM, …) together with CTO and Tech-team Actively shape the strategic platform direction for the next years (e.g. integration with other IT systems, monetization of features, platform growth, etc.) together with CCO and Business-Team 2) Ensure top-notch usability of platform together with UX and Design Teams Introduce product performance analytics and usage metrics into the platform Setup structured process to systematically generate product inputs across channels: Product vision, market trends, user feedback, product usage metrics, etc. Prioritize enterprise features and collaborate with Product and Tech teams to define one streamlined product roadmap and inform short- to mid-term implementation planning considering client deliveries 3) Build a scalable product organization and ways of working Establish key processes from design, development, testing, quality assurance, etc. of product platform and solutions/ feature requirements Set up cross-functional teams (“squads”), e.g. for country rollout, feature development vs. maintenance, etc. Manage, develop and strategically hire people for Product team as we grow 4) Lead cross-team project execution of complex platform functionality, owning the whole development lifecycle from specs to implementation Who we are looking for? Highly Self-Motivated: You are able to quickly and efficiently execute tasks, demonstrating strong initiative and self-drive. You Get Things Done: You prioritize speed and flexibility, adept at making swift compromises to maintain momentum. Strong opinions, loosely held: You are willing and have fun to debate your ideas with the team, discuss trade-offs and implications, and thus arrive at a better solution than your initial idea. Analytical and Self-Reflective: You analyze your performance and continuously seek ways to improve. Compassionate and Humorous: You bring kindness and humor to the team, enhancing both morale and collaboration. Requirements Must have 7-10+ years of experience in Software Product/Platform Management in an agile environment (startup/ scaleup), e.g., as VP Product, Head of Product /Platform Proven “playbook” (because you have done it before!) to transform a software MVP towards production-ready Enterprise-grade SaaS Strong B2B SaaS expertise, ideally in an analytical product in regulated environment such as Financial Institutions Understanding of regulatory compliance incl.
