Finance Director / CFO
Key Responsibilities • Strategic Financial Leadership • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives. • Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team for decision-making. • Operational Finance Management • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, cash flow, and budgeting. • Create and manage the annual budget and rolling forecasts. • Implement robust financial controls and reporting systems. • Implement and maintain financial ERP tools to ensure scalability and efficiency. • Reporting • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for Board meetings and investors. • Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and manage financial risk effectively. • Coordinate internal and external audits to maintain compliance and transparency. • Growth Enablement • Cross-Functional Collaboration • Support CAPEX planning for FOAK projects, Series B fundraising preparation, costing, and reporting. • Work closely with product, operations, and leadership teams to enable agile decision-making

Job description • Work with the CCO, CEOs and Board of Directors to help prepare Bloom’s commercial readiness for the launch of its first biorefinery (tons of products already available). • Lead structured market discovery to validate and refine product–market fit: identify priority applications, customer segments, and value propositions. • Use personal and professional industry networks in sustainable chemicals, materials, and bio-based value chains to access early partners, pilot customers. • Translate early market traction and customer insights into a structured go-to-market roadmap (customer prioritization, pricing models, channel strategy, offtake sequencing). • Build and refine the business model and unit economics for investor and board alignment. • Lead or co-lead complex partner negotiations, ensuring commercially sound terms. The successful applicant • 7+ years of commercial leadership experience in sustainable chemicals, materials, or industrial biotechnology. • Extensive industry network spanning potential customers, converters, and brand owners. • Proven track record in market discovery, product–market fit validation and commercializing new technologies from lab to scale-up. • Strong experience in complex partnership negotiations and structuring deals. • Financially literate and capable of translating technical value into investor-ready commercial metrics. • Fluency in English, team player mindset. • Technical background and experience with biomass derived products preferred. Business Developer Cellulose products / MFCs
Job description • Work closely with the CCO and senior commercial team to support Bloom’s commercial readiness ahead of the launch of its first biorefinery • Support sales activities for cellulose products to help achieve commercial targets. • Contribute to market discovery efforts to refine product–market fit. • Support customer and partner outreach across value chains. • Assist in the preparation of go-to-market materials. • Capture customer feedback and translate insights into clear internal recommendations. • Support the preparation of commercial proposals and partner discussions. The successful applicant • At least 3 years of experience in cellulose business development, strategy, consulting, or a related role (including internships or graduate experience). • Strong interest in sustainable chemicals, materials, industrial biotechnology, or climate-tech. A technical background is a strong asset. • Solid analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn technical topics into business insights. • Proactive, curious, and comfortable in a fast-paced scale-up environment. • Fluent in English; French is a plus. • Technical or scientific background is an asset.
