Capskin AG is a start-up company based in Zurich, Switzerland, founded as a spin-off from ETH Zurich in 2020. Capskin sensor and AI technology enables ergonomically better fitting products and improves human performance and well-being substantially. The solution comprises novel thin, wearable sensors, that can measure pressure, shape, and motion. The sensor data is interpreted and displayed by the Capskin Software. The first product is the Capskin Sensor Sock with the ability to measure in-shoe pressure all around the foot, enabling the footwear industry to develop better fitting shoes and end customers to find better fitting shoes. We are looking for you, an open-minded Electrical Engineer as a new member of our development team who is keen to further develop the electronics and sensor technology for our sensor sock. Your mission is to use your skills in electronics engineering to bring our sensors to the next level. This is for you, if you: - Enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team and tackling challenging tasks in a start-up environment - Are experienced with prototyping fast, pragmatically and creatively - Are a communicative team player as well as a proactive self-learner - Have a hands-on mentality, and embrace the variety in your daily tasks. You have the following ingredients in your backpack: - A degree in Electrical Engineering (ETH/FH). - Proven experience with PCB design, particularly for battery-powered devices and connectivity. - Practical experience with firmware programming. - Flexibility for various hands-on tasks, e.g. testing our product prototypes or using tools like 3D printer and laser cutter for prototyping. - Experience in testing electronics including the design of tools for sensor testing and calibration. Bonus points for: - Experience in sensor electronics and capacitive measurement for wearable sensors. - Experience with signals processing on the hardware and software side.
