More information can be found on our website: www.fixposition.com About the role - Be part of the R&D team building our high-precision sensor for autonomous vehicles. - Take technical responsibility for the RTK (real-time kinematic) GNSS algorithms and implementation, support planning and design decisions in your area of expertise. - Collaborate with the entire team of software, sensor fusion, and vision engineers to maintain, improve, optimize, and extend the sensor performance and functionality on an embedded Linux system. - Contribute to the internal and customer documentation, testing, verification of the performance, analysis of defects, support tools. About you - MSc or Ph.D. in geomatics engineering, robotics, mathematics, or equivalent experience. - Experience in GNSS algorithm development and implementation. - Excellent knowledge of real-time GNSS positioning (e.g., filters, adjustment theory, statistics) and RTK navigation algorithms (e.g., ambiguity resolution, differential positioning). - Hands-on knowledge of software design and development in the C or C++ programming language. - Expertly honed engineering and problem-solving skills. - Fluent in English (spoken and written). Bonus points - Knowledge of computer vision or sensor fusion. - Knowledge of machine learning concepts. - Other programming languages, such as Python. - Knowledge of software testing, test automation, continuous integration. - Experience with development environments, revision control systems, build toolchains. - Experience with software development processes. More information can be found on our website: www.fixposition.com About the role By building the backbone of our software, you are a crucial part in the development of our hardware, software and online products. You will work closely with the Sensor Fusion team to improve the on-sensor real-time pipelines, extend the functions of existing software, and craft new features. - Strengthen our software engineering team by bringing a comprehensive set of skills to complement our team. - Develop solutions along the full stack, developing primarily in C/C++, Python, JavaScript. - Test and optimize the software running on embedded Linux / make our software fast and stable. - Develop Linux device drivers. - Along with the development work, you coordinate with the Sensor - Fusion team to optimize algorithms for deployment in an embedded environment. About you - University or technical college degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field. - Experience in Linux Kernel Driver development. - A minimum of experience as a software engineer in product development. - Highly skilled in problem solving in an agile and fast-growing environment. - Comprehensive coding skills, C/C++, Linux shell. - Experience with infrastructure for agile software development (e.g., version control, containerization, tool chains, CI, CD). - Fluent in both written and spoken English. Bonus skills - Experience in computer vision, machine learning, RTK GNSS, software & data protection, typescript. - Strong interest or first experience in Docker or Yocto or similar embedded Linux distribution and build systems. - Strong interest or first experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design for fast growing software systems. You will contribute to our current and the next generation of our sensor fusion pipeline and work very closely with all the other parts of our R&D team. - Research, develop and implement new algorithms for our innovative real-time sensor fusion pipeline using RTK GNSS, IMU, camera, and other sensor data. - Optimize algorithms and run them on embedded Linux (in cooperation with software engineers). - Evaluate the performance of our product on autonomous ground vehicles and drones. About you - MSc or PhD in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in a related field. - Proven experience solving sensor fusion or state estimation problems. - Excellent knowledge on visual-inertial SLAM methods using optimization or filter based approaches. - Strong programming skills in C++ and other languages such as Python. - Excellent oral & written communication skills in English. - Strong drive to bring in your experience to push our product. - Excellent problem-solving skills.
