Legal insurance is a €16.8B European market serving 150M+ policyholders — and every single case still requires 15–45 minutes of manual review by a human claims handler. We compress that to under 2 minutes. We already have a paid pilot with a Swiss legal insurer, a working prototype in testing, and a founder with 120+ B2B customers at his previous AI legal tech company. What we need now is a co-founder who owns the commercial side: sales, partnerships, and go-to-market. Our long-term vision: make legal insurance affordable for everyone in the world. # **🛠️ Your Role** You will own everything commercial. This is not a sales hire — it is a co-founder role with equity, full ownership of the go-to-market engine, and a seat at every strategic decision. - **Enterprise Sales:** Build and own the sales pipeline for legal insurers in Switzerland and Germany. Get us from 1 paying pilot to 5–10 insurer contracts. - **Partnerships & Industry Access:** Open doors at insurers through your network, industry events (RIAD, insurtech conferences), and direct outreach. If you already know people in the legal insurance world, even better. - **Customer Discovery:** Run weekly conversations with claims handlers, heads of claims, and insurance executives. Deeply understand their pain and translate it into product requirements. - **Go-to-Market Strategy:** Define positioning, pricing, packaging, and expansion sequencing across DACH and into broader European markets. - **Fundraising:** Partner with the technical founder on investor conversations, pitch materials, and the pre-seed/seed raise. - **Company Building:** Help shape culture, hiring, and operations as we grow from 2 to 10 people. We make decisions through written docs, not meetings. We value ownership, speed, and honest disagreement. # **📌 What We're Looking For** ### **Must-haves:** - Proven ability to sell into enterprises — ideally insurance companies, but adjacent regulated industries (financial services, legal, healthcare) count too. - High agency: you identify what matters and go do it without waiting for instructions. - Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage chaos. You've either built something before or operated in an environment where nothing was figured out yet. - Based in or willing to relocate to Zurich / Western Europe. On-site collaboration matters at this stage. - Fluent in German and English. French is a strong plus. ### **Strong signals:** - Direct experience in legal insurance, claims operations, or insurance technology. - Existing relationships with legal insurers or reinsurers in DACH or broader Europe. - Previous founder experience or early employee at a startup. - Understanding of B2B SaaS sales cycles, pricing models, and enterprise procurement. # **🤝 What We Offer** - **Equal equity split**, vested over 4 years. Our long-term vision: make legal insurance affordable for everyone in the world. # **🛠️ Your Responsibilities** As a Founder's Associate Intern, you'll work directly with the founder across business development, operations, and company-building. No two weeks look the same. - Business Development: Identify, reach out to, and build relationships with legal insurance companies across Switzerland and Germany. Own the outreach pipeline. - Founder Personal Branding: Help build the founder's presence on LinkedIn and at industry events -- draft posts, manage content calendars, and coordinate speaking opportunities. - Landing Page & Web Presence: Own and iterate on INC's landing page, messaging, and public-facing materials based on customer feedback and market positioning. - User Interviews: Organize and coordinate interviews with claims handlers and insurance executives. Prepare discussion guides, take notes, and synthesize insights. - Recruiting: Conduct first-round screening interviews for early hires. Help source candidates and manage the recruiting pipeline. - Networking: Represent INC at insurance and legal tech events (RIAD, insurtech meetups, startup events). Build relationships in the Swiss and German insurance ecosystem. - Market Research: Track competitors, regulatory developments (EU AI Act), and expansion opportunities across European markets. - Investor Relations: Support preparation of investor updates, pitch materials, and financial models. - Operational Support: Help set up and optimize internal processes, tools, and workflows as we scale from 1 to 5 people. # **📌 Qualifications** ## **✅ Minimum qualifications** - A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or currently pursuing one). - Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent approach to problem-solving. - Sales & Communication Skills: Ability to articulate value propositions clearly and build trust with senior insurance executives. - Self-Starter Mentality: You don't wait to be told what to do. You identify what matters and get it done. - Work Permit: You have a Swiss work permit. - Language Skills: Proficient in German and English (French is a plus). - Availability: Ideally full-time; 70%+ may be considered for exceptional candidates. 3-6 months internship duration.
